For what originally started as an anniversary edition of the Royal Oak in 1993, the Offshore series of watches quickly evolved to become a staple offering in Audemars Piguet's catalog. Though the chunky diving chronograph wasn't an immediate success, a trait shared with the original Royal Oak ref. 5402, through the use of experimental materials, sophisticated complications, and massive celebrity endorsements, the Offshore has left an everlasting mark on the watchmaking industry and is one of the most popular watches to come from AP. By taking the original 'sports watch' template of the Gerald Genta-designed Royal Oak and beefing it up to 11 with a larger case and ISO certification, the Offshore started a new generation of diving watches marketed towards recreational use.

CASE & BRACELET

The noble and robust stainless steel case is in unpolished condition with the factory finishing and bevels on full display throughout the case and bracelet while showing honest signs of light use throughout. The rubber-capped chronograph buttons remain original and fully intact along with the original screw-down crown. The integrated stainless steel bracelet retains 17 links that show no stretch and will fit up to a 6 3/4-inch wrist.

DIAL & HANDS

The original black tapisserie dial with bold numerals is flawless, showing no damage or age. The hands are all original to the watch and remain in perfect condition as well.

ACCESSORIES 

The watch comes as a complete set with the original inner and outer boxes, hang tag, booklets, and warranty certificate. The watch is keeping time perfectly and functions flawlessly.
