The vintage Bulova obsession in the watch community is very real and here to stay! The unique and funky watches that Bulova made from the 60s-80s are always a cause for conversation. Ranging from colorful diving chronographs to eccentric electric watches like the famous Accutron.

The Bulova Chronograph C is affectionately nicknamed the "Stars & Stripes Chronograph" for its red, white, and blue color scheme of the dial that offers high visibility for telling the time with just a glance. The Stars & Stripes is also a bit of an oddity for Bulova as it was only produced for 1-year in 1970 but more so because of its size and exaggerated crown and pushers. The oversized monobloc case houses a Valjoux Cal. 7736 which is a workhorse movement from the era, used by many Swiss watch companies as a reliable option for their sports chronographs.

CASE & BRACELET

The unpolished case is in excellent condition showing only minimal signs of use on the sides of the case and displays the characteristic "Stars & Stripes" vertical brushing. The fixed notch bezel is in wonderful condition, remaining unpolished as well. The case retains its original Bulova signed crown and pushers. The case back is unpolished as well though there are tool marks, the factory engravings markings present and visible.

DIAL & HANDS

The vibrant matte blue dial is remarkably well preserved, showing visibly no imperfections apart from a small mark between the 2 and 3-hour markers in the bottom sub-dial that is not visible to the naked eye. The tritium lume plots have aged to a handsome creamy patina and exhibit no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands are in exceptional condition and display no degradation under U.V. light inspection.

None. The watch is keeping time and functioning perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
