THE LOOK IS SUBTLE, YET EFFECTIVE
This Limited Edition REC P51-04 Raven Black is in a red meets black combination. It takes off in the classic “Raven Black” paint combination as seen on the Ford Mustang’s in the 60’s. This is why when we recovered a black Ford Mustang from 1966 last year in Sweden we decided to recycle part of the metal for the Limited Edition timepiece.
AND THE MUSTANG LIVES ON…
Only 250 timepieces are made and each of the REC P51-04 Raven Black is visually unique. Every dial has its unique patina, VIN number from the car and the serial number is engraved on the case back. The mandatory scan-able story card is in- cluded together with a one-time only sticker – all in the gift box tin can.
The P-51 Automatic Collection is made by recycling authentic classic 1960’s Ford Mustangs, a car which to our minds is the very symbol of freedom and opportunity! That’s right: it’s RECYCLED HORSEPOWER! The collection takes its name after Executive stylist John Najjar, who was a fan of the World War II P-51 Mustang fighter plane, is credited by Ford to have suggested the name.
The P-51 watches include custom built 4-piece cases, handmade dials, and sports a highly reliable Miyota 9130 automatic movement; complete with date- and power reserve function.
